• Measurements: Holder – 3 5/8″ wide by 1 7/8″ at the base and 3 1/8″ high. Ashtray – 3 1/2″ by 1 7/8″ and 5/8″ high

• Condition:
The lid has a flat chip on the rim and some fleabites on the cut star as seen in the photos. The holder is free of chips, cracks and fleabites, except 1 tiny nick on the underside of the foot. There are no notable marks or scratches from use. The base has light shelf wear as expected. The glass is fantastically clear with great clarity. There are no notable flaws in the glass. The pattern on the lid continues the cuts from the holder most notable on the end fan cuts.
There is some disagreement on the color of the glass under UV light. Personally, I feel it’s a nice apple green, indicative of American Brilliant. On the other hand another viewer feels it has an orange tint, more commonly found European glass (though not exclusive to). A third viewer feels it’s green with a hint of orange at the edges. This disagreement (in my opinion) make me hesitant to call it American Brilliant or European cut. No matter the origin it
is an exceptional piece with it’s matching lid, prism base and low cut “U” sides and will make a fine addition to a cut glass collection.
It will make a phenomenal addition to an American Brilliant collection.
