INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. You will need to loosen and or remove the exhaust system as necessary to clear the right side transmission cover.
2. Drain the transmission oil. (With bike on jiffy stand you will only loose a small amount of fluid.  (I DO NOT drain the entire tranny, just replace what little drains out from the cover.)
3. Completely loosen the clutch cable adjuster.
4. Remove the 6 bolts that hold the transmission cover and remove cover.
5. Remove the large “C” clip that retains the ball and ramp mechanism. Lift out the ramp and cable coupling, being careful no to lose the three ball bearings. Disconnect the coupling from the clutch cable.
6. Unscrew the clutch cable from the transmission cover and remove the o-ring. Do not discard o-ring as it will be reused.
7. Install the E-Z Clutch Assist adapter piece on the ramp piece as shown in photo below. Be sure that the bolt is tightened to 10-12 ft-lbs.
8. Slide the spacer from the kit onto the end of the clutch cable. Carefully screw the cable end back into the transmission cover. Re-install the o-ring. Screw the cable end back into the transmission cover. Do not over tighten.
9. Attach the cable coupler to the clutch cable end and attach the coupler to the V-Twin Mfg. E-Z Pull Clutch Assist arm. Install the ramp mechanism and 3 bearings into the transmission cover and replace the “C” clip.
10.Using a new transmissions side gasket replace the transmission cover: Torque the cover screws to 7-9 ft-lbs and refill transmission oil to the correct level.
11. Refer to your service manual for clutch adjustment.
12.Replace and re-tighten the exhaust system as necessary.
