Native American turquoise MOP inlay Sterling silver 1907 Barber half dollar buckle, signed by LUCILLE and CHUCK COOPER, dated 1977, and marked SS in two different places for STERLING silver. The silver coin sits in the center of the belt buckle, set in a tall smooth bezel with swirls and scrolls etched all around it, and the name GUY on the bottom.
Two raised silver leaf appliques adorn the left side of the coin. A
high-grade blue turquoise and three mother of pearl shells were set in smooth bezels, and applied to the four corners of the buckle, at the curved filed border. This piece weighs about 109 grams! It’s 2 7/16″ tall by just over 3 3/8″ wide. The two well-constructed keepers measure 1 13/16″ on the inside. Rustic Native American stone and silver work.
Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art.

Additional notes:
The two mother of pearl shells on the bottom of the buckle have two
little tiny gaps between two of corners of the bezels and the stones,
not uncommon in older handmade pieces. The silver does not have that gold-ish tint that some of the photos show. It’s a darker gray as shown in the first and last pictures – dark patina.
All
measurements are approximations. Please measure your wrist,
decolletage, finger, and waist, or use an old bracelet, necklace, bolo
tie, belt, and so on, to determine your size.
All items in our store are preowned, and in vintage-used condition. Minor wear, light surface scratches, and other common

Please
allow for some variation in color. We attempt to capture the actual
color of the stones/shells to the best of our ability, but cameras,
lighting, and monitors may not portray the exact color. When the color
in the photos is significantly different from the original, we will add
that information to “additional notes” at the bottom of the listing.
