Vintage 1965 SCHWINN TYPHOON Black Frame, Badge, Chainguard, Crankset, Kickstand

Description

1965 Schwinn Typhoon frame including the badge, chainguard, crankset, kickstand and optional fork.  Serial number, KA48361 stamped on Oct. 18, 1965.  The letter “K” is difficult to read, but I checked the whole alphabet and all ending in _A48361 were stamped in 1965, so I’m sure of the year.
Frame is 18 1/2″ and fits 26″ tires.
This has been completely disassembled for shipping.
Optional fork:
The bolt for the front fender broke off in the fork and the steer bolt broke off from the wedge so the wedge and part of the steer bolt is still stuck inside the fork.  If you want the fork and it’s mounting hardware it’s included, but be aware of its issues.  Because of the size of the box needed for shipping, adding the fork will not increase the shipping cost.
Otherwise all good.  This is a nice, straight frame ready for restoration.
