You are bidding on a very nice Water Carafe from the American Brilliant Period. The carafe stands 8 1/2″ tall and has a 6″ diameter. I love the notched neck. At some point in it’s long life, the rim was chips so the owners had the chip sanded out. As far as the body of the carage it concerned I cannot find any flaws – no chips, cracks, etc. Because the base is so deeply / intricately cut, there is some shelf wear. I am pricing this piece accordingly. In terms of display if you face the sanded area to the back, the piece displays beautifully! As you are bidding on a 100 year old piece you are buying in as found condition.
I am doing a little Spring cleaning so I’m in the process of listing ABP pieces at great pricing so the pieces can find new homes.
